The dandruff is a fairly common problem which is not only unsightly but can also cause itching and discomfort in the scalp to better prevent and/or stop. It is caused by the growth of bacteria and fungus that causes the MF or Malassezia Furfur, which provokes that the skin becomes detached in scales of dry skin and accumulate in the hair, giving that filthy and unhealthy appearance.

Beyond products and shampoos that you can find in the market, there are certain ingredients and natural applications that can help you eliminate this problem. Basic will be a proper cleansing routine of scalp and hair, with use of a suitable shampoo and cool to warm water for rinsing.

As well, within the natural products that can be allies against dandruff, it has essential tea tree oil: it is a natural antiseptic to treat fungi and bacteria which can make a big difference in the treatment of dandruff. It can be used in two main ways: add a few drops of regular use shampoo or dilute a teaspoon in warm water to fill a bottle, and apply with a spray after shower. We recommend using daily for good results.

The white vinegar is another natural product and recommended to control dandruff; thanks to its content of acetic acid helps regulate natural pH of the scalp thus preventing the emergence and proliferation of the fungus that causes dandruff. The indication for use is to dilute one part white vinegar with another of water, and to rinse hair with this resultant liquid after washing.

Two other home-made options are aspirin and lemon juice: the first, known for its analgesic and anticoagulant action, thanks to its contribution of acetylsalicylic acid. In this case, its use is also simple: just need to crush two aspirin and mix them with shampoo before applying.

The second, known for its antiseptic properties: the lemon contributes reagents astringent that help remove impurities, while balance the natural pH of the skin. Apply a fair amount of lemon juice all over your scalp and let stand for a couple of minutes, being careful not to spray on the skin. Rinse with lukewarm water and repeat the treatment two to three times a week.
